For our first talk of the 2026/7 season on Wednesday 9th September, we welcome historian and raconteur Andrew Meller who will present ‘Tolkien and the Cotswolds’.
We can expect an intriguing, illustrated talk uncovering Tolkien’s life-long interest for archaeology and myth featuring Cotswolds locations that brought Middle Earth to life.
We meet at Milton Village Hall for a 7.30pm start, with tea/coffee available beforehand.
About Andew Meller
When not researching the past, historian Andrew has worked as a head teacher, actor and storyteller and has just retired as a bookseller with Waterstones.
From Stow’s Tolkien Door to the enchanting Puzzlewood, the Cotswolds profoundly shaped JRR Tolkien’s imagination.
